Your character is being determined by a combination of all your deeds, habits and attitude while your reputation is what everyone say and think of you based on how you behave or your character. I’ve heard people say that people shouldn’t worry about what other people say about them and that all they need to care about is their character. This leaves me confused at times. The question I want to ask here is, if your reputation is what others say and think of you based on your character, why should people say you shouldn’t worry about it? Is it that those saying this are not clarifying their point or are they confused? On my own opinion, you should always care about what others say about you. Please don’t get me wrong here as I don’t mean you should be affected negatively by what others say about you. Your reputation can never be affected by bias judgements. You can always get to know if the people talking about you are being honest or bias. If 100 persons were to comment on your character, no less than 90 of them would say it as it is.So, if your reputation, is what everyone say and think of you, what then brings about the difference in what these ‘100 persons’ are saying? There can only be two reasons for this. They are jealousy and wickedness. When you have a good character, your enemies wouldn’t want to accept it due to jealousy while on the other hand, when your character is bad, your unfriendly friends will not tell you the truth because they want you destroyed.Talking about reputation, it’s a thing of the majority. In conclusion, if you have a good character, it is good but it’s always better to have a better character. The only way to have a better character is to compare your good character with your reputation and see how you can improve upon it.Please add your own opinions in the comment box and also share this with your friends.
In recent times, we’ve seen lots of efforts being made by the society towards abolishing gender inequality and they have all yielded good returns as we’ve seen more women become presidents, senators, ministers, governors and other honourable positions in the society. As we all know, everything which has an advantage must have at least one disadvantage- whether justifiable or not. Sometime last year, a huge step was taken towards abolishing gender inequality in the US when they passed a law which allows women to go topless on the street. In case you didn’t know, going topless on the street[without your breast covered] was a criminal offence before the law was passed. Is that why we are here? Not at all. To the business now!The society at large do not accept the idea of a man crying but I don’t think I’m in support of that theory, neither am I against it. At times I feel that the gender inequality stuff is at play here. Whenever a woman crys, nobody says anything because they feel it’s normal for them to do so even when they know that most of them do cry out of nothing and it’s even more annoying when they do it in pretence in order to portray themselves as being innocent or to get whatever they want.On the other hand, how would you feel when you see a man cry? I know most of you would call that man names like shameless, lazy, insane etc. Some might even go further to call that man a woman.#genderInequalityJesus Wept!!!Wow! Even this great man cried in public. So why did He cry? He cried because He lost someone dear to Him. This reminds me of how I cried when I lost my mom. I just couldn’t stop the tears from dropping. They just kept on dropping like raindrops falling from the skies with acceleration.Personally, I don’t really like seeing anyone cry- whether a man or a womans. If a woman’s tears are seen as being normal, then a man’s shouldn’t be an abomination for we are all humans and as humans, we all have emotions and feelings. So as a man, if you are facing any form of emotional pains, cry if you’re in the mood
