Your character is being determined by a combination of all your deeds, habits and attitude while your reputation is what everyone say and think of you based on how you behave or your character. I’ve heard people say that people shouldn’t worry about what other people say about them and that all they need to care about is their character. This leaves me confused at times. The question I want to ask here is, if your reputation is what others say and think of you based on your character, why should people say you shouldn’t worry about it? Is it that those saying this are not clarifying their point or are they confused?On my own opinion, you should always care about what others say about you. Please don’t get me wrong here as I don’t mean you should be affected negatively by what others say about you. Your reputation can never be affected by bias judgements. You can always get to know if the people talking about you are being honest or bias. If 100 persons were to comment on your character, no less than 90 of them would say it as it is.So, if your reputation, is what everyone say and think of you, what then brings about the difference in what these ‘100 persons’ are saying? There can only be two reasons for this. They are jealousy and wickedness. When you have a good character, your enemies wouldn’t want to accept it due to jealousy while on the other hand, when your character is bad, your unfriendly friends will not tell you the truth because they want you destroyed.Talking about reputation, it’s a thing of the majority.In conclusion, if you have a good character, it is good but it’s always better to have a better character. The only way to have a better character is to compare your good character with your reputation and see how you can improve upon it.Please add your own opinions in the comment box and also share this with your friends.
